"(Translated by Google) We rented kayaks for two hours today, at short notice, after hiking in Carolina State Park. Since these were our first kayaking experiences, we were very happy to have met Meghan, who put our worries at ease and explained everything brilliantly. We enjoyed our time on the water, watching the fish jump in front of the kayak and the pelicans dive in. At the end, we got to try out a SUP again, and Meghan took photos of us. Wir mieteten heute kurzfristig nach dem wandern im Carolina State Park Kajaks für 2 Stunden. Das es unsere ersten Versuche mit dem Kajak waren, waren wir sehr froh Meghan getroffen zu haben, welche uns die Sorgen nahm und alles super erklärte. Wir haben die Zeit für uns auf dem Wasser genossen, die Fische vor dem Kajak springen und die Pelikane eintauchen zu sehen. Zum Abschluss durften wir nochmal ein SUP testen und Meghan machte Fotos von uns. Vielen Dank für die schöne und ungeplante Erfahrung!"

"Our family of 5 had a great time kayaking on the Cape Fear river! Our youngest two (8 and 5) had their first experience learning how to paddle and ride in a kayak. We all loved learning from Megan about the ecosystem, finding crabs and shrimp, and cooling off in the water, too! Such friendly staff and reasonable rates."

"Rented two kayaks for four hours from Mark who gave us a map and directions to Bear Island. We got a little lost along the way but mostly just followed the white pipes to the back of the island via a shallow inlet. After we landed and pulled our kayaks up onto the beach, we walked the half mile or so to the snack bar to refill our water at the fountain/spigot next to the bathrooms. FYI if you want to go to the shop it's cash only. The paddle out and back was really beautiful and not crowded, we saw a ton of shore birds and a dolphin on the way back."

"My daughter and I rented a tandem kayak for a 2 hour hour journey. The staff was very helpful and told us sights to visit. We had a blast!"
